Presentation Guidelines

Oral presentations

Oral presentations have 20 minutes time slots, including 17 minutes presentation, 2-3 minutes for questions and answers and change of speakers. To ensure smooth turnaround of speakers, we will use a dedicated computer for all presentations, and ask the speakers to consider the following instructions:

  1. Bring your presentation on a memory stick and upload it to the dedicated computer well before your presentation. A volunteer will be available in the mornings and in the lunch breaks to assist you.
  2. Be in the room 10 minutes before your session starts, and introduce yourself to the session chair.
  3. Keep the time allocated for your talk.

Posters and Demos

One-minute madness session

All poster and demo presenters are requested to provide a one-minute presentation to introduce their poster or demo. To ensure that we do not loose time between the very short presentations, we ask the speakers to consider the following instructions:

  1. Bring your presentation on a memory stick and upload it to the dedicated computer well before your presentation. A volunteer will be available in the mornings and in the breaks to assist you.
  2. Be in the room 10 minutes before your session starts, and introduce yourself to the session chair. We will organize a line-up for presenters to ensure a fast turnaround of speakers.
  3. Keep the time allocated for your talk.
