FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS(CLOSED)
The
IFIP Networking 2008 Conference Organizing Committee invites proposals
for half or full-day workshops affiliated with the conference. Workshops
will be held on May 9, 2008.
Purpose
The
purpose of these workshops is to provide a platform for presenting
emerging research, latest technical and business issues in communications
and networking topics as well as novel ideas and more specific research
areas in a less formal and possibly more focused way than at the
conference itself.
Proposal
Submission Guidelines
The
organizer(s) of approved workshops will be responsible for advertising
their workshop and for the reviewing process for their workshop's
papers, and for the collection of camera-ready copies of accepted
papers.
Each
workshop proposal must include:
1. Title of the workshop
2. Length of the workshop: Half-day, Full-day
3. Names, addresses, and a short biography (up to 200 words) of
the organizers (maximum up to three)
4. A brief description (up to 1 page) of the technical issues that
the workshop will address, and the reasons why the workshop is of
interest of Networking 2008
5. Names of potential participants, such as program committee members
6. If appropriate, a description of past versions of the workshop,
including number of submitted and accepted papers, number of attendees,
etc.
7. A call for papers
8. The workshop website address (if available)

Paper
submission due: December 01, 2007 (2359 EDT)
Paper accept notifications: January 15, 2008
Camera-ready due: February 01, 2008
Workshop
proposals should be submitted, no later than September 01, 2007,
by e-mail (in PDF or MS Word format) with “IFIP Networking
2008 Workshop Proposal” in the subject, to the Networking2008
Workshop Chair, Lim Teck Meng.
All proposals are subject to review.
