Accommodation:

Stockholm offers a huge variety of accommodations, from budget youth hostels (Vandrarhem in Swedish) to luxurious hotels.

A block booking at special rates for conference participants has been arranged with a number of hotels. The hotels and the respective rates are as follows:

• Elite Hotel Arcadia Stockholm (200m from conference location)
  Single room 11-13 June, 1.390 SEK per night including breakfast and VAT.
  Single room 13-16 June, 1.590 SEK per night including breakfast and VAT.
• Scandic Park (600m from conference location)
  Single room, 1.650 SEK per night including breakfast and VAT.
• First Hotel Kungsbron (city center, 100m from Central station)
  Single room with window, 1.440 SEK per night including breakfast and VAT.
  Single room without window, 1.240 SEK per night including breakfast and VAT.
  Double room without window, 1.540 SEK per night including breakfast and VAT.

How to get to Stockholm

Stockholm is served by 3 international airports: Arlanda (ARN), Bromma (BMA) and Skavsta (NYO). You can easily reach the city center from each of these airports as follows.

• Arlanda (approximately 50kms North of the city, serves most major airlines):
  You can get to the city center (Central station) by bus (Flygbussarna), by high speed train (Arlanda express), or by public transportation (SL). Tickets can be bought at the airport or online in advance.
• Bromma (within city limits, serves Brussels airlines):
  You can get to the city center (Central station) by bus (Flygbussarna) or by public transportation (SL, buses 110 and 152 take you to subway stops Alvik and Liljeholmen, respectively). Note that you need to purchase a ticket in advance for the public transportation.
• Skavsta (about 100kms South of the city, serves Ryanair and Wizzair):
  You can get to the city center (Central station) by bus (Flygbussarna).

You can also get to Stockholm by train through Copenhagen. Trains arrive at the Central station in downtown Stockholm.

Getting around

Stockholm has an efficient public transportation system, consisting of buses, trams, subways, commuter trains and boats. The public transportation system is managed by SL. You typically need to purchase a ticket before boarding public transportation. Most tickets have to be loaded on a travel card called SL Access, which can be purchased for 20 SEK at subways stops and at SL service centers, and can be loaded multiple times.
